THE YEAR OF NEW BEGGININGS
TEXT: 2 Cor. 5:17
Introduction Every year there are new aspirations believing that things will be different and better. We set new goals, establish new vows and seek even a new direction for our lives.
In all this we find ourselves oftentimes caught in the vicious cycle of doing this year by year without seeing any positive results. Why is this? What are we doing wrong? How can we get off this merry-go-round?
The answer lies within the scriptures if we would only get serious about what it says. Our lives can and will be different and we can truly experience the new of the New Years daily.
Mention: 2 Cor. 5:17 God says to you and I can make all things become new
1. A New Plan Isaiah 40:28.
- God is eternal- not limited
- Creator –he molded us to be great
- Neither faint- he is never tired
- Good understanding- has no limit
If any man be in Christ
God had a new plan from the beginning and this plan is in Jesus the Christ! The new begins with Him. Hebrew 8:7, 8, 11, 13 The Old Testament was not with fault, but yet instead you and I was the fault.
2. A New Person
“If any man be in Christ he is a new creature” Gal. 6:15
Col. 3:10 renewed in the knowledge after Him that created him
“A new name” I believe it is because of a new character!
I believe we need to ask ourselves this question; who are you living for?
2. A New Purpose 2 cor. 5:14-15 we should live unto Him which died for us
Ask yourselves these questions:
- Where is God glorified in the plan for my life?
- Do I faithfully acknowledge Him in my actions?
4. A New Place
Rev. 21:27 certain people will not be permitted to enter into this new place. One must have put on the righteousness of Christ by accepting Him as their Lord and Savior
